TIPS & TRICKS
Things to prepare your home for photos
Remove personal photos…. yeah really all of them you don’t want your family photos to end up online with the house for the weirdos to look at….
Pull all rugs up in the bathrooms
Soaps and tissues yep gone
All the shampoo, razors, and spongy things in the shower with the glass walls…. you may set those down on the floor in the shower or take them out, your preference
The alarm clocks next to the beds….well actually all alarm clocks… (tip – set them behind the pillows or on the floor next to the bed)
All magnets, papers, calendars, etc from the refrigerator
All garbage cans anywhere in the house should be removed
All lights on…. yep lamps too!!!
Fans off …. this seems to get tricky haha … if there is no way of turning the fan off and having the light on at the same time its ok please have it turned off and let me know.
Shoes by the doors should be put away
Roll that hose up outside and set it neatly in its spot or take it out completely.
The pool scooter cleaner guys…. they are happy where they are 🙂
Remove the grill cover …. I get a lot of puzzled looks on this one especially when the grill might not look like it belongs in the Houston Rodeo Cookoff…. its ok I’d rather see it than see the blob or gray or black that is the cover.
Okedoke NOW we are ready to photograph your house!!!
In the search over photos from the past million years I knew that I wanted this wedding to be shown as it was such a fun time. Every time that a wedding gets shot the editing is better, the shots continue evolving, the gear has been improved or added to. Many photographers would probably cringe at the fact that I have shot all of my events with some old Nikkor lenses with the 50mm being my favorite. They of course are 100% manual so all of the focusing is done on the fly with my hand on the lens. The thing of it is though that when this lens screams it screams with all of its might!!! and boy is it sharp as the result. Sometimes the end result could have been technically better but its the content that creates our emotional connection as human beings to the photographs.
This sequence has literally made me laugh out loud numerous times as I find myself going back and forth through them. Hope they make you smile too 🙂
